The River Vale Public Library will be undergoing an exciting interior renovation to improve our library setting and better serve our patrons!

• During this time the main part of the building will be CLOSED from August through the early part of 2010.
• We will maintain our regular library hours and operate out of our Community Room during the renovation.
• Portions of the library's collection will be available in the Community Room.
• You will be able to continue ordering items online as well as picking up and returning items at this location.
• There is no public internet access available during the renovation.

River Vale Parents of School Children:

• The library will not be able to accommodate after-school visits from school children, particularly those from Holdrum Middle School.
• Check the Children's Room Story-Time Link regarding Story Times which will be held at the Community Center.
• Check the Children's Room - Special Programs Link for information about our October 20th Craft Program at the Community Center
• Only a limited portion of the Juvenile and Young Adult collections will be available in the Community Room.

Highlights of the Interior Renovation:

• A new ADA compliant Circulation Desk
• Reconfigured and enhanced Children's Room with additional seating
• Creation of a Young Adult Area
• New Multi-purpose room with seating capacity for 10 people
• Designated quiet reading area
• Eight new high-speed computers with Microsoft Office
• New energy efficient lighting throughout the library
